Full time temporary position for 3 years EnergyCo supports regional development and flexible working, will consider candidates across all NSW locations close to Renewable Energy Zones and willing to travel to Newcastle and/or Sydney as required Band 1 Executive Level: TRP commencing from $225,740 to $249,843 Steering EnergyCo’s vision, you will lead strategic coordination, foster strong partnerships, and navigate stakeholder alignment to deliver the electricity infrastructure roadmap and drive collaborative government action. About the Role The role involves working with diverse local and Government stakeholders on solving complex issues to support the successful delivery of EnergyCo’s programs and projects. It focuses on building strong relationships with external stakeholders, advocating for the Renewable Energy Zone’s (REZ) programs, and representing EnergyCo and the NSW Government in public forums to communicate the impact and benefits of REZ initiatives. The position is responsible for managing critical interfaces across EnergyCo, providing expert advice to senior leadership on risk management, and offering strategic solutions to complex issues. It also involves advising the Minister, partner agencies, and Roadmap bodies to inform policy and decision-making. Additionally, the role includes refining coordination models for REZ project delivery, fostering cross-team collaboration, and leading teams to achieve branch objectives. About You Our ideal candidate will most importantly have experience leading and delivering large-scale infrastructure, State or regional development projects, particularly in complex and dynamic environments that require navigating regulatory, compliance, and project constraints. Alongside this you will: Have proven experience managing multidisciplinary projects involving multiple state government agencies and stakeholders Have a high level of expertise with the Government business case processes, including the preparation and development, as well as navigating the Treasury negotiation and approval procedures Have a strong understanding of the political landscape and be capable of navigating complex political dynamics and influencing decision-makers to support project objectives Be experienced in fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring alignment on complex infrastructure or project initiatives, and keeping up to date with evolving industry regulations and operational challenges Have proven experience identifying potential risks and challenges related to infrastructure or project delivery and devise strategies to mitigate them and create win-win solutions Have an in-depth understanding of government processes ensuring adherence to relevant policies and frameworks throughout project delivery. Essential Requirements Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or relevant equivalent experience.
