About The Role The position requires extensive experience in strategic management, project management and change implementation within a government or justice setting. The successful candidate will lead a team, develop and implement strategic plans and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. The role emphasizes strong leadership qualities, commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to ethical principles. The successful candidate will report to the Deputy Director General of Strategy and Organisational Performance and will be responsible for leading a team. About You We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Director of Strategy, Planning, and Performance. The successful candidate will lead and deliver strategic and operational planning, corporate governance, performance evaluation to support evidence based decision making. The Successful Applicant Will Be Expected To Lead, manage, develop, and deliver a program of organisational management and performance services for the Department of Justice. Lead and undertake complex research and analysis to review the effectiveness of policy to achieve the strategic priorities of the Department of Justice. Participate as part of the Executive Management Team and build relationships to enable the collaborative delivery of strategic and operational objectives. Develop, lead, and manage the staff and activities of the Strategy, Planning and Performance Directorate including people, and financial and technology resource requirements. Represent the Department of Justice on agency and sector-wide working groups and committees.
