Director of Business - Ruyton Girls' School The Position Ruyton Girls’ School seeks to appoint a highly experienced financial and business leader to the position of Director of Business. With responsibility for strategically overseeing and managing multiple key functions within the School, the position demands high levels of professional expertise and strategic vision to support the school’s vision and values. Reporting to the Principal, and a member of the Executive Team, the Director of Business is a pivotal senior leadership position with oversight of business services to the School including the functions of finance, risk and compliance, property, cleaning, catering and swim school. Additionally, the Director of Business supports the School Board and sub-committees. The Director of Business will work with the Principal on the Master Plan development, support and collaborate with the Executive team to develop strategy and operational plans, oversee the smooth operation of the School’s financial administration and ensure all statutory and legal obligations are met. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with a growth mindset who demonstrates an ability to foster respect and unity across staff, providing leadership and mentoring to build further capability. With broad experience in business and administration combined with strong financial skills, the incoming Director of Business will demonstrate a high level of competency in financial software and IT. A proven track record of driving operational excellence will underpin the ability to educate others on Board interactions and the commercial aspects of operating the school. The appointee will also demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of financial strategy and management, ensuring rigorous financial oversight and alignment with the goals of the school. Presenting with exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a genuine willingness to understand and appreciate the culture of the school. This is a highly visible position in the school community and the appointee will demonstrate strong relationship building skills combined with an ability to develop trust, rapport and collaborative working relationships with staff and families alike. This position plays a vital role in the school and is a true partner to the Principal.
