Director of Professional Learning and Development (POL 4) Marist-Sion College Type: Ongoing Role: Position of Leadership Hours: Full-time Closes: 14-02-2025 About the Role Commencing: January 2025 Marist Sion College is situated in Warragul, Gippsland. Following extensive consultation and taking into account our new strategic plan, Marist-Sion College is excited to launch a revised Position of Leadership (POL) Model for our community, which is set to take effect in 2025. Marist-Sion College is seeking Leaders who: Are visionary and inspire a learning culture of high expectations Build a team-based culture that is self-reflective and build positive relationships with others Adopt an evidence-based approach, supporting targeted professional learning and monitoring progress in school improvement Create a sustainable future by working with data to change, adapt and grow The Director of Professional Learning and Development oversees the professional learning plan for the College through a coaching approach. The role has an emphasis on engaging staff with developing and improving their practice as well as supporting graduate and early career teachers and new staff to the College. The Director of Professional Learning and Development leads the work of the Pedagogical Coaches to embed a culture of expert teacher practice. The successful applicant will be a registered teacher with the Victorian Institute of Teaching. A full-time ongoing teacher contract is offered with this appointment. The Position of Leadership (POL 4) is offered as a 4 year tenure.
