We believe our people make the difference.About the role This is a unique opportunity for a passionate Social Work and Allied Health leader at a really exciting time within Eastern Health Allied Health professionally and operationally as they evolve structures and ways of work to achieve their Eastern Health 2025 promise of "Healthier Together". The Director Social Work/Deputy Director Operations Allied Health, Women & Children is accountable for the profession specific standards of practice for the Social Work profession across the entire Eastern Health continuum, driving strategies to identify and mitigate professional risks at clinical and workforce levels across the organisation. This role is specifically responsible for the operational and clinical performance of the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service, Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault (ECASA) as well as Allied Health staff within the Women & Children Program.About you To be successful in this role you will possess: Hold active registration with peak professional body Meet EH Allied Health credentialing standards for nominated profession Demonstrated high level leadership and change management skills Clinical and management experience within the public health setting and across multidisciplinary models of care Expertise in healthcare finance and budget management Demonstrated expertise in health industry workforce and industrial systems Ability to lead high performing teams and individuals and address underperformance issues as they arise Demonstrated ability to develop and successfully implement creative solutions to complex systemic and organisational problems High-level communication, written and verbal, with demonstrated high level inter-personal skills with consumers, their families and all healthcare professionals Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
