About the Role The Disability Accommodation Coordinator position provides a high level of service and leadership direction to ensure participant satisfaction is achieved by creating an enjoyable, safe and respectful home for each individual. The role requires providing direction and guidance to Support Workers to deliver effective and efficient services in the Supported Living Disability portfolio. The Disability Accommodation Coordinator is responsible for, but not limited to the: Provision of high-quality disability supports for people living in supported accommodation Supervision and coaching of HELP Disability Care Support staff to ensure person centred active support is delivered to the people they support; Management of the appropriate funding and scheduling of participants living in Supported Accommodation Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders and networks Organise the rostering of employees, ensuring that shifts are filled in a timely manner and in such a way as to ensure minimum disruption to clients and ensure maximum cost effectiveness to the business Oversight and administration of the daily programs and routines for staff and participants Coach and mentor support staff in Person-Centred Active Support Ensure that supervision and supports for each participant is maintained in accordance with customer service agreements Ensure all reporting requirements are met for participants including staff notes in the client management system. This also includes reporting requirements of staff and operational issues Provide people leadership support to your direct reports, including but not limited to performance, absence management, engagement and operational requests. Make decisions aligned to drive the financial performance, care and vision of HELP Enterprises. Implement and monitor participant plans, including Individual Goal Plans (IGP), Health Plans and Positive Behaviour Support Plans Organise and attend health related appointments of participants if required and report outcomes to all relevant stakeholders Facilitate, attend and participate in meetings and team building activities Liaise with intake team to facilitate meet and greets with new participants This is a Full-Time position located at Mitchelton About You As a disability accommodation coordinator, you will be dedicated to ensuring equal access and opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Working collaboratively to create an environment where everyone can thrive and reach their full potential, regardless of any challenges they may face. At least 2 years’ experience supporting people with disabilities Ability to problem solve and exercise judgement Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to design, plan and effectively deliver organisational projects at appropriate level of experience Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise competing responsibilities Committed to the delivery of services to people with disability who access supports under the NDIS Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the NDIS Ability to provide ideas and solutions clearly to all stakeholders from diverse backgrounds Demonstrated ability to utilise program resources to achieve measurable outcomes consistent with goals Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent OR Associate Diploma (preferred) How to apply for this role?
