About As a Disability Support Worker (DSW) in Community and Recreation, you will support adults with disability to engage in community activities. You may support clients one-on-one or in groups, mostly in the community, and occasionally in their homes. Your responsibilities may include:Supporting clients in working towards their goals Facilitating a wide range of recreation and social activities Assisting with shopping, appointments, and events Encouraging meaningful opportunities and relationships Providing daily living and personal care needs, including assistance with meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility. About You We're looking for people who are passionate, have a great attitude, and an eagerness to learn. A commitment to empowering our clients to reach their goals, and upholding quality and safeguards. Effective communication skills and good English literacy. The ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team. A willingness to support clients with personal care activities. An Australian Driver Licence. The right to work in Australia. The ability to obtain a First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificate if you don’t already have one. A Certificate IV in Disability, relevant work experience, or an interest in community services is desirable.
