The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching electrical service technicians to residential job sites, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and experience in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.Key Responsibilities: Dispatching Service Technicians: Coordinate and dispatch electrical technicians to job sites based on priority and technician availability. Scheduling Appointments: Receive and schedule service calls from customers, ensuring optimal routing and time management for technicians. Customer Communication: Communicate with customers regarding service status, updates, estimated arrival times, and rescheduling. Address and resolve customer inquiries or concerns in a professional manner. Job Tracking: Monitor technician locations and job statuses throughout the day, adjusting schedules as necessary to accommodate emergencies or last-minute changes. Work Order Management: Enter service requests into the company’s software system, ensuring all job details are accurate and up-to-date. Parts Coordination: Assist in tracking and coordinating the delivery of necessary parts and materials to job sites, ensuring technicians have what they need to complete the job. Maintain Technician Schedules: Keep track of technician availability, vacations, and sick leave, adjusting schedules accordingly to ensure service coverage. Problem Solving: Address service issues and emergencies as they arise, ensuring technicians and customers are informed and that solutions are implemented quickly. Administrative Support: Provide support to the service department with data entry, paperwork, and other administrative tasks as needed. Required Qualifications: Experience: At least 2 years of dispatching experience, preferably in electrical services or a related service industry. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with both customers and technicians. Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in dispatching software, GPS tracking systems, and other related technology. Experience with CRM or work order management systems is a plus. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Problem Solving Ability: Quick thinker with the ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure. Customer Service: Strong focus on customer service, with the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently. Qualifications: Knowledge of electrical systems and terminology. Experience in logistics or fleet management. Bilingual skills are a plus. Working Conditions: Office environment with regular communication via phone, email, and dispatching software. Occasional requirement to work after hours or on weekends to accommodate emergency service needs. Salary & Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience ($50,000 - $65,000 per year).
