The Emergency Services and Access Division comprises of: Emergency Department Short Stay Unit Ward 6 Emergency Observation Unit Ward 15 Cardiology and Heart Failure Unit Ward 17 Intensive Care Unit Chest Pain Evaluation Unit About the Role: This Divisional Director reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and, in partnership with the Divisional Director, Medical and the Director of Operations, contributes to the overall leadership and management of the service. This senior leadership position requires a combination of strategic vision, operational excellence, and leadership skills to ensure the division’s success and alignment with the overall organisational goals. This position is a full-time ongoing role. To be successful in this role you will have: Experience and good working knowledge of managing large budgets, financial forecasting, and cost optimisation. Proven ability to lead and inspire large, multidisciplinary teams to achieve ambitious goals. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including board members and executive teams. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing division-wide strategies aligned with organisational goals. Well-developed problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering actionable and impactful solutions. A proactive and forward-thinking mindset that embraces innovation and continuous improvement. Ability to drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation. Proven ability to navigate complex challenges, manage crises, and lead teams through periods of change.
