Superannuation and salary packaging Support and dynamic work environment Strong Professional and social networks A unique and well-balanced lifestyle Award Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award Medical Practitioner Level 5-11 (Registrar/Senior Registrar) $134,930 - $189,005 per annum + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022 Period of Employment Fixed term, full-time day work, 76 hours per fortnight (+ 10 hours protected training time pro rata) commencing 5 May 2025 for up to three years. Location Royal Hobart Hospital Essential Requirements: General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable). The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted: 1. Conviction checks in the following areas: crimes of violence sex-related offences serious drug offences crimes involving dishonesty 2. Identification check 3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check. Selection Process: Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on the following desirable criteria: Desirable Requirements – Registrars Previous clinical experience in Intensive Care Medicine, Anaesthesia, and/or Emergency Medicine. Successful completion of practical acute care and resuscitation courses, such as ALS, BASIC, APLS, EMST, and formal Point of Care Ultrasound training. Advanced trainees with CICM, ANZCA, ACEM, and/or ACRRM. Demonstrated experience in audit, research, teaching, and safety and quality. Demonstrated experience in leadership roles either within or outside of work. Desirable Requirements - Senior Registrars & Transitional Fellows A minimum of three years relevant clinical experience including at least 24 months recent experience in Intensive Care Medicine. Completion of CICM Primary Examination. Completed or near completion of final examinations for Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine, or an equivalent qualification. Applicants who have completed Fellowship in another acute care specialty may be considered for Senior Registrar posts.
