We have an opportunity available for a: Cadet Drafter – Enrolled in or willing to enroll in an Associate Degree / Advanced Diploma in Engineering (or approved equivalent) Under direct supervision, you will learn drafting and design skills and will become competent using appropriate software. Key responsibilities of this position include: Assisting in the preparation of drawings using Revit in the field of Building engineering within our Building Services team. Collaborating with senior team members on various technical tasks and taking guidance in support of your role. Developing your knowledge of GHD's Digital Design Manual and other relevant systems, tools, and processes. Developing your knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling). Attending TAFE and maintaining the requirements of the Cadetship, which will include a combination of work-based training and formal training. What you will bring to the role: QCE (or equivalent) completion with strong academic results in Mathematics, Engineering and English. Experience in AutoCAD desirable but not essential. Strong desire to build a rewarding career as a professional drafter/designer. Well-developed communication skills and a proven attention to detail. Intermediate computer skills coupled with a positive attitude and a desire to learn. Genuine interest in technical drawing and engineering. What are we offering?
