TasFarmers is now seeking a Drought Community Support Coordinator to join our team, dedicated to advocating for Tasmanian farmers and supporting the agricultural industry across the state. About the role: TasFarmers is offering a strategic and community-focused opportunity for a Drought Coordinator to join our team, providing crucial support to farming communities across Tasmania. This role is dedicated to enhancing drought response, recovery, resilience, and preparedness activities, providing targeted support to farming communities in need. The coordinator will play a critical role in active issues monitoring and priority gathering to inform the development and implementation of local resilience building programs and relationships to enhance community preparedness and resilience. They will ensure that agricultural regions are better equipped to adapt to future climate challenges and to sustain long-term resilience. Their on-ground collation of relevant farm-level information will enable timely decision-making to assist communities transition through the drought cycle.
