Where you'll be working : This role is based at Ryde Community Health Centre, Drug and Alcohol Service. What you'll be doing : The Drug and Alcohol Community Counselling Team provides specialist counselling for individuals affected by problematic substance use and significant others associated in their care. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply. Candidates will need to meet the following criteria: Recognised qualifications suitable for a mental health professional, such as Psychologist, Counsellor or Social Worker with current registration through the relevant Professional Board of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, or PACFA/ACA or eligibility for Membership for Social Workers with the AASW. Demonstrated experience and clinical knowledge in the assessment and treatment with people with drug and alcohol problems and/or people with co-morbid substance use disorders and mental health problems using a range of modalities, e.g., CBT, DBT, Schema. Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and experience in health promotion, quality projects and research.
