St Michael’s Grammar School are seeking an experienced and passionate Drumkit/Percussion Tutor to join our vibrant Performing Arts Faculty to deliver quality teaching, learning and caring in our Private Music Program, support ensembles, our rock bands program and engage with our busy calendar of events. The Music Tutor is responsible for supporting the recruitment and retention of students in the orchestral and contemporary music spaces requiring percussion. They are also expected to foster strong connections with all music students in both the Junior and Senior Schools. Whilst we are seeking a Tutor with strengths across both drumkit and tuned percussion, ability and interest to teach an additional instrument would be beneficial to increasing your teaching load at the school. This role is calculated at 1 day a week , with the teaching and ensemble component needing to be undertaken on a Thursday . This role will also involve time allocated to supporting the technical delivery of events across our busy calendar. Experience working in sound, lighting or general crewing for Music events would be advantageous.
