Their architecturally designed, boutique space boasts a light-filled front bar, relaxed pub dining, a cosy lounge and fireplace setting, private function areas and guest accommodation.The George Hotel is inviting hospitality professionals to join their Front Office team in the position of Duty Manager/Guest Service Manager.Job Tasks and Responsibilities: The Front Office Duty Manager is instrumental in delivering seamless service for the valued guests. Duty Managers are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the front desk team, anticipating and delivering on guests' needs, rectifying guest complaints, checking the accuracy of data and accounting entries for all transactions, and ensuring all Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to in order to minimise errors and achieve a high level of guest satisfaction.Duty/Guest Services Managers need relevant front office and guest services management skills and experience to meet guest expectations and provide hands-on training for new team members, along with ongoing training and monitoring of existing team members.All Front Office Duty/Guest Services Managers are required to demonstrate flexibility in rostered hours and be prepared to work on weekends/public holidays. At times, they will be required to conduct Night Audit to ensure Front desk coverage.Skills and Experience: 2-3 years relevant experience Experience in a similar role in a 4-5 star property is well regarded Relevant qualification Strong communication skills both written & verbal Presentation and problem-solving skills Solid knowledge of online hotel reservation software and procedures Fluent in English (multilingual is an asset) Team player with a 'can do' approach; cross-training exposure or experience in another department would be well regarded Must have flexibility with rostered hours - weekends/school holidays included.
