Job Description We are currently seeking an experienced, hands-on and professional Duty Manager (Housekeeping) to assist in the day-to-day running of the Hotel. The role is responsible for the overall operation and direction of the housekeeping department at our Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort. In this role you will be responsible for: Answering guest questions and monitoring the delivery of quality guest service. Controlling and purchasing within budget, all operating supplies, replacements, consumables and maintaining par levels including processing and coordinating payments/accounts for such purchases. Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is evident throughout the property in Housekeeping (in rooms, public and common areas). Maintaining accurate records, i.e. financial, maintenance; inventory (all aspects pertaining to the Housekeeping Department). Implementing a transparent communication process with all key personnel. Ensuring a productive and professional relationship with Housekeeping staff members and all contractor personnel. Overseeing daily on-the-job training for all Housekeeping Attendants. Expected Hours: 38 per week Location: 15 Thompsons Rd, Pokolbin NSW 2320 Annual salary: $73,348 (excluding superannuation) Approved Sponsor: Minor Hotels Australasia Limited (Previously Oaks Hotels & Resorts Limited) Qualifications Minimum 3 years experience in Housekeeping Management, with a strong track record of leading and managing housekeeping teams effectively. Exceptional people management skills, with the ability to motivate, train, and develop team members to achieve optimal performance. Extensive experience in controlling and managing departmental budgets, including the procurement, inventory, and replenishment of operating supplies, replacements, and consumables. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with staff, guests, and other departments. Highly developed time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A keen eye for detail, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the property, while consistently adhering to procedures and safety guidelines. Ability to establish and enforce cleanliness standards, leading by example to ensure consistent and exceptional guest experiences. Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and implementing continuous improvements.
