The Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls Engineer is responsible for ensuring high plant reliability and availability, while collaborating with the engineering team on CAPEX (capital expenditure) projects and maintaining safety standards. This role oversees the operation, maintenance, and improvement of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems throughout the entire facility, including auxiliary systems. What's on offer Fantastic training and career development opportunities Supportive, collaborative team culture Competitive remuneration and benefits What you'll be responsible for Ensure safety, wellbeing, environmental compliance and quality standards while meeting annual targets for plant availability and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF). Manage and maintain E,I&C systems, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and updating of electrical drawings and critical spares. Program and maintain PLC and SCADA systems, including regular backups, and service/calibrate site instruments and analysers, including gas and stack monitoring equipment. Oversee the maintenance of plant motors, Variable Speed Drive Systems, and field measuring instruments, as well as E,I&C systems for auxiliary plants. Utilise the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to generate work orders and manage purchase orders for E,I&C-related equipment and services. What you'll need to be successful Tertiary degree in a relevant engineering field (electrical or mechatronics) Experience with industrial motor starters and Variable Speed Drive Systems Experience in working with PLC and SCADA Systems (Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC desirable) Experience in working with process instrumentation like flow, pressure, temperature, level etc. Working knowledge of analytical instruments like gas analysers, water quality analysers etc. Working knowledge of CMMS Experience in managing contractors and mentoring supervisors Experience in project management and delivery of process plant systems from design to operational handover Experience in managing process plant operations. Ability to investigate safety incidents and provide continuous improvement to site safety. Proven record of leading production team and ability to communicate with a multi-faceted team.
