Job Description

Organisation: Global building materials company and the largest global manufacturer of fibre cement products. It is a dual-listed company, being listed on the Australian and New York Stock Exchanges. Employing a diverse global workforce of approximately 4,800 employees across operations in North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines. Position: Reporting to the Head of EHS, this position is an APAC wide role, working with the Regional EHS Team to deliver the EHS Programs for plants across the region. This role will focus on EHS management systems development, critical risk management, Workers’ compensation and compliance for a range of sites. Communication is key for this role and will require a technical expert who is able to communicate and engage stakeholders from site to board level. Requirements: Degree qualified in a relevant major such as Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Physical Sciences or Engineering 7+ years’ experience in Health and Safety within manufacturing or a relevant high-risk sector Experience working with Health & Safety and Environmental management systems, technologies and practices Project and change management skills, working to deadlines and delivering outcomes Excellent presentation skills and the ability to build rapport and communicate with employees at every level of the business Ability to travel to sites nationally and work autonomously as well as being part of a strong team Benefits and Next Steps: Global organisation with a strong safety culture and a family run feel, the company prioritises its staff and runs regular events and wellbeing initiatives.
