EL 2 - Dir Governance and Corporate Support $134,567 - $161,521 + up to 15.4% Superannuation The Role Joint Support Services Division (JSSD) Headquarters provides Command Support to JSSD and Reserve and Cadet Support Division (RCSD). We are seeking a highly motivated Director of Governance and Corporate Support to provide leadership, strategic oversight and Division level coordination of Governance, Corporate Support and Finance. The Head of JSSD has identified Governance and Corporate Support as a priority area for investment. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to lead the direction and development of this important function and team. This will include building enhanced risk frameworks and financial governance for two key Divisions within the Military Personnel Organisation. The Director of Governance and Corporate Support will lead a small team to oversee divisional performance against business strategies whilst managing the core governance and assurance programs. Other major tasks include providing leadership to the Governance and Corporate Support team and providing strategic advice to the Heads of JSSD and RCSD on Governance and Corporate Support and Finance matters, as required. About our Team The Joint Support Services Division Head Quarters (JSSD HQ) supports two diverse organisations that deliver a range of critical Defence-enabling outcomes and community-facing organisations. JSSD’s broad remit includes ADF Sport; Military Legal Services; Joint Military Policing; ADF Support Services; Defence Members and Family Support; ADF Financial Services and Consumer Centre; Youth; Youth Protection Assurance; ADF Reserves and Employer Support and ADF Cadets, these functions directly contribute to Defence’s capability and preparedness. Our Ideal Candidate Our ideal candidate is someone with a proven ability to provide high-level strategic support and advice to senior leaders and key stakeholders. You will have demonstrated skills and qualifications to drive the Division’s Governance, Assurance, Finance and Business functions including enterprise performance, Workforce and WHS. The ability to work collaboratively, provide direction, guidance, leadership and support to a team while developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is highly desirable as are relevant financial qualifications and understanding. This role will require the ability to work effectively with DPG’s various Divisions, Commands and other groups across Defence, in order to achieve Defence wide outcomes. The successful candidate will need to have, or be able to quickly acquire, extensive knowledge of legislative and regulatory frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements. #J-18808-Ljbffr
