Our Federal Government client is seeking a motivated and experienced EL1 Business Manager to play a crucial role in supporting the governance, financial management, and strategic direction of the branch. As an EL1 Business Manager, you will be a key enabler of the branch's success, ensuring that governance, financial management, and business operations run efficiently and effectively. Your expertise will support the Branch in delivering high-impact programs that drive meaningful change. Key Responsibilities Branch Coordination - Oversee executive correspondence and ensure seamless coordination of branch activities. Budget & Financial Management - Manage the Branch's budget and monitor financial performance across sections. Policy & Program Support - Lead or support the development of New Policy Proposals, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Governance & Operations Improvement - Identify and implement opportunities to enhance business processes, governance frameworks, and secretariat functions. About You To succeed in this role, you will have: Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills. Demonstrated experience in financial management, governance, and policy development. A strategic mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement. The ability to navigate complex policy environments and work collaboratively across teams. A deep respect for and understanding of First Nations perspectives, cultures, and priorities in water policy. On offer is a 6 month contract with labour hire, non-ongoing and S26 transfer options.
