Role Summary: Our Client is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to support the delivery of a range of financial reporting functions. These projects focus on ensuring residential aged care subsidies are paid accurately and effectively, with an emphasis on developing new mandatory external audit requirements for non-financial audits and establishing a new business unit for assessing the impact of misreporting and accounting judgements. The role will be pivotal in leading and managing projects over the 2024-25 and 2025-26 financial years, reporting directly to the Funding Risk Policy section.Job Duties: Lead and manage projects focused on ensuring the accurate reporting of residential aged care subsidies. Develop and implement new mandatory external audit requirements for non-financial audits of care time and expenses. Oversee the establishment of a new business unit dedicated to assessing misreporting and the impact of significant accounting judgements on financial reporting. Collaborate with external consultants and contractors to ensure successful project delivery. Provide expert financial reporting and analysis in relation to aged care funding and subsidy calculations. Ensure the timely and effective delivery of all project milestones and outcomes. Prepare and deliver clear, concise reports, presentations, and documentation to stakeholders. Manage and coordinate contract relationships and ensure the effective use of external consulting resources. Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, promoting effective teamwork and achievement of project objectives. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial reporting and assurance standards. Requirements for the Role: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with substantial experience in financial reporting and analysis. Proven expertise in assurance services and understanding of non-financial audit processes. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information to diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in project management, including managing multi-faceted projects and teams. Leadership experience, with the ability to lead teams effectively and drive project success. Experience in contract management and managing consulting arrangements. In-depth understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. A proactive and solution-focused approach with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
