Job Description

Federal Government opportunity Locations: Surry Hills (NSW), Geelong (VIC), Richmond (VIC), Brisbane (QLD), Deakin (ACT) Contract: 12 months (with possible extension) Rates: Negotiable (depending on experience) Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday) Work Arrangement: Hybrid Payment: Weekly Pay The Organisation: This Government body works with people with disability, providers, and the community to deliver nationally consistent, responsive, and effective regulation of service providers. About the Role: We are seeking an EL1 Data and Business Analyst with strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven mindset . You will be responsible for optimizing efficiencies, managing stakeholder relationships, and delivering solutions from ideation to implementation . The ideal candidate will have experience working in both private and legislated environments . Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Work with stakeholders to understand and document business needs . Develop reports and insights using data from multiple sources. Deliver high-quality reporting products that meet user requirements. Establish a single source of truth for reporting with accessible visualizations. Manage end-to-end reporting projects , ensuring efficiency and accuracy. Ensure all reports comply with user experience, accessibility, and technical standards . Maintain well-documented and tested reports with clear change notes. Write reusable and scalable code to support reporting solutions. About You: 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, and Reporting . Experience in Forecasting, Predictive Modeling, and Text Analysis (highly regarded). Proficiency in SAS Viya, Tableau, QlikView, or similar tools . Ability to bridge business and technical requirements , acting as both a Data Analyst and Business Analyst when needed. Strong knowledge of reporting structures , including hierarchies, parameters, filters, and XML editing in SAS VA/Tableau. Understanding of release management, coding, and technical documentation . Relevant training and certifications will be beneficial.
