About the Team The Technical and Production team is part of the Programs and Place Branch, responsible for the delivery and maintenance of on-site public programs and experiences at our Acton location, including: Baseline Experiences Gallery Series Film Series Partnership Series Commercial Venue Hire The Opportunity The Manager, Technical and Production (Manager T&P) will refine our strategies, systems, tools, and procedures to maintain our technical capacity and deliver the production and technical elements of our public and learning programs, events, and venue hire. The Manager T&P will manage a team of technical staff and work closely with various teams to ensure effective delivery of all programs. Key Responsibilities/Duties Strategy and PoliciesContribute to strategies that guide the business of the Programs and Visitor Experience team. Develop strategies, policies, systems, tools, and procedures for technical capacity and delivery of public and learning programs. Team and Program ManagementManage the Technical and Production team to develop a positive team culture. Oversee budgeting, project, financial, and risk management for technical equipment and services. Coordinate the planning and delivery of technical services across programs. Project ManagementOversee management of all technical projects and workflow. Selection Criteria Highly developed technical expertise in an events and/or exhibitions context. Experience in leading successful delivery of complex technical services. Highly developed skills in planning, project, financial, risk, and contract management. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively. Proactive and collaborative communication and relationship management skills.
