About this opportunity The NACC has a Senior Financial Analyst position available for immediate filling in Perth. A merit list will be established to fill vacancies arising in the next 18 months. About the role We are seeking to recruit a Senior Financial Analyst to support the Commission’s investigative activity on systemic and complex matters. Reporting to the Director Operations WA and under broad guidance, the Senior Financial Analyst will be a member of a team assisting in investigations into allegations of corrupt conduct, using the full range of investigative methodologies, including coercive powers available under the National Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2022 (NACC Act). Key activities The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting corruption investigations by conducting operational and tactical research and analysis activities that creates a foundation on which financial investigation activities are based upon and progressed. Key activities include: Contributes to effective financial investigations by compiling, analysing, interpreting and reporting financial information. Application of contemporary intelligence methodology to the analysis, identification and development of investigative opportunities and targets. Uses a high degree of initiative and extensive knowledge and experience to determine reliability, relevance and credibility of information. Influences and drives innovation and developments within the Commission intelligence capability. Contributes to investigation planning and leads intelligence planning through the preparation of a range of products, evaluations, risk assessments and briefings to support tactical, operational and strategic decision making. Identifies, builds and sustains positive relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to gather information or share intelligence. Maintains and manages records, information and the progress of matters through accurate and timely data entry in case management, intelligence and technical platforms. Contributes to the training and onboarding of new staff by sharing your skills and experience to build capability in the team. Ability to work independently, with limited instruction to deliver quality outcomes under strict timeframes. Applications for this role will be welcomed from a variety of professional backgrounds. Classification: Executive Level 1 Salary: $118,549 - 144,065 plus service allowance Location: Perth Eligibility Employment with the NACC is subject to the following conditions: Citizenship – applicants must be an Australian Citizen. Security clearance – this is a Designated Security Assessment Position. The occupant of this position will be required to undergo and maintain a security clearance to Negative Vetting 1. Suitability assessment - the NACC must be satisfied that successful applicants are of suitable character. They must undergo a rigorous pre-employment suitability screening process that can be intrusive in nature including (but is not limited to) detailed background, character, employment, police and financial checks. Probation - a probation period will apply to a new ongoing engagement in the Australian Public Service.
