$136,863 to $155,386 plus 15.4% superannuation Currently, there are around 4.3 million Australians with a disability. The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which is one of the biggest social reforms in the country since Medicare. As an Agency, we support more than 600,000 participants with a significant and permanent disability, and the families and carers of those living with disability. The Co-Design and Engagement Division has various EL2 Director opportunities across multiple locations nationwide. These are important leadership positions delivering innovative and evidence based co-design and engagement strategies, plans, content and activities to ensure that people with disability are at the heart of making improvements to the NDIS. Where you can add value As Director Co-Design and Engagement, you will be responsible for initiating, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: Leading a team delivering timely, innovative, efficient and evidence based co-design and engagement strategies, plans, content and activities. Driving the development, implementation and monitoring of targeted engagement strategies that align to the NDIA’s Engagement Framework, NDIA Corporate Plan, branch and divisional business plans. Providing strategic advice to business areas on best practice engagement for co-design, consultation and information sharing. Providing capability building coaching across the broader team and to other business areas on engagement and co-design approaches and associated tools and resources. Designing, implementing and monitoring the delivery of Scheme wide inclusion strategies to improve outcomes for participants from diverse communities. Enough about us, let’s talk about you The successful candidates will have: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to represent the NDIA, communicate with influence, including facilitate stakeholder engagements, and develop and maintain networks with a wide variety of stakeholders, including people with disability, their families and carers. A track record of delivering evidence based co-design and engagement outcomes, ideally in the human services sphere and an understanding of the government context. Be comfortable working with ambiguity, navigating multi-dimensional and complex issues and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities to deliver against tight timeframes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to provide strategic advice to Senior Executives and business areas on best practice engagement for co-design, consultation and information sharing. An ability to quickly understand a wide range of reform priorities, and be able to consult and engage in accessible and inclusive ways to gather feedback and advice from diverse audiences. Demonstrated leadership experience and an innovative approach to inspiring team members to deliver against agreed priorities and strive to continually improve. While this role is ideally performed from ACT - Deakin, NSW - Surry Hills, QLD - Brisbane, Chermside, SA - Adelaide, TAS - Launceston, VIC - Geelong, Richmond, WA - Perth, NT - Alice Springs, remote working arrangements may be considered. We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered.
