As the Practice Manager of the PSASG Practice Management Unit, you will report to the Group Executive Director (GED) and support the Senior Executive Director (SED) and Executive Director (ED) of PSASG.You will lead a small team to ensure the group operates efficiently and effectively and deliver the agreed priorities and performance results.In addition, you will work closely with the senior executive to support and drive strategic direction and form and achieve business outcomes.You will have the opportunity to develop and broaden your skills in agile environments that value problem solving, flexibility, creativity, quality assurance and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.As the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the GED to effectively coordinate the business of PSASG, including delivery of the performance statements audit program and coordinating resourcing.Under broad guidance, the Practice Manager will: Support the GED to manage the operations of PSASG, including resource management, recruitment, procurement and performance reporting; Manage client relationships, including as the key contact point for other ANAO Service Groups; Maintain and develop quality assurance systems; Supervise, mentor and support the professional development of more junior staff; Prepare briefing material for executive meetings and senate estimates – this includes coordination of input from across the ANAO; Work across the ANAO to ensure effective integration and timely delivery of the ANAO’s annual audit work program; Ensure effective delivery of the performance statements audit program. Who we are looking for We are looking for someone who is approachable, accountable and collaborative, with strong writing capabilities and excellent organisational and communication skills. The successful applicant will drive and promote a high integrity and performance culture across PSASG.The successful candidate will also have the following:Proven ability to manage complex and competing priorities; Well-developed project management skills; The ability to think critically and creatively; Strong attention to detail; The ability to negotiate persuasively and incorporate other’s ideas into their thinking; Experience briefing senior executives; Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and people management skills. Desirable qualifications There are no mandatory qualifications for this role.Eligibility We are seeking a high performer looking to gain further experience in supporting senior executive, business planning and management and setting and driving improvements across service groups.Citizenship – To be eligible for employment with the ANAO, applicants must be an Australian citizen.Security Clearance – The Australian community requires the highest level of integrity from ANAO employees.
