Job Description

The Opportunity – Novaskill is currently partnered with a renowned and reputable business to offer a Civil Construction Apprenticeship, including on-the-job training with ongoing mentoring and support to help you start. You’ll be completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Civil Construction whilst gaining experience & developing relationships in the Civil Construction Industry. Learnings – Plan and organise civil construction tasks Learn to read and interpret plans Use hand and power tools Operate small plant and equipment Follow Work Health & Safety (WHS) procedures Perform measurements and calculations Outcomes – Experience liaising with real clients and stakeholders Skills in working to project deadlines Experience working on a real work site with colleagues and supervisors The ability to use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and civil construction equipment A strong pathway to continue your study and enhance your career opportunities Apprenticeship Suitability Recommendations – To succeed in this apprenticeship, we recommend you have: Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to use hand tools Comfortability working at heights and in confined spaces An intermediate level of fitness to manage physical tasks such as shovelling, moving surveying equipment, and walking long distances Ability to work well as part of a team Commitment to safety About You – Demonstrated commitment to completing your study whilst balancing work Time management, attention to detail, planning and organisational skills Willingness to work hard and complete the job Driver's Licence & Reliable Transport is a must White Card or willingness to obtain Novaskill is about enriching people’s lives and cultivating futures.
