As a casual academic at UniSC's School of Business and Creative Industries, you will engage in a variety of teaching and assessment activities, offering flexibility and the opportunity to share your expertise in a supportive academic environment. Primary Objectives: Deliver high-quality tutoring and teaching sessions to students across various Business and Creative Industries disciplines. Develop and update course materials in line with industry standards. Assess and mark student assignments, exams, and practical assessments. Facilitate interactive learning experiences and moderate discussions. Provide constructive feedback and support to students. Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement. Engage with students to enhance their learning experience. Qualifications and Skills: Completion of an AQF+1 qualification in a relevant field. Strong knowledge and understanding of current scholarship in a relevant field. Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the tertiary level and a clear teaching philosophy that aligns with the UniSC’s and SBCI’s missions and values. Ability to deliver a student-centered learning experience, including using diverse teaching methods to engage students in both online and on-campus workshops. Understanding of student well-being and ability to promote a positive classroom culture and create a safe, inclusive learning environment. Knowledge of standard-based assessment and evaluation methods, ability to provide constructive feedback to support student learning. Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities. Emerging academic research track record in a relevant field or professional engagement with relevant industry stakeholders. (Desirable) Existing industry connections and relationships with local employers and stakeholders. Membership and strong connections with relevant professional organisations and community groups.
