Job Description

The opportunity – Novaskill, in partnership with Walcha Council, is excited to offer a Surveying and Spatial Information Services Traineeship. This is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the surveying and spatial information field while completing your formal qualification. You will be working alongside experienced professionals who will guide you through the process of data collection, land surveys, and spatial information management. You’ll be completing a nationally recognised Certificate III or IV in Surveying and Spatial Information Services. Key responsibilities – Assist in conducting surveys for various projects, including land and building surveys Collect and analyse spatial data using modern surveying equipment Support the preparations of maps, plans, and reports Learn to use software and tools related to spatial data management Assist with site inspections and ensure compliance with surveying standards Work collaboratively with senior surveyors and other team members to complete projects on time Learning outcomes – Road, design, and produce maps Collect surveying data and work with spatial data Perform simple surveying computations Operate specialised software Provide field support for surveying and spatial projects About you – A keen interest in surveying, spatial data, or the built environment Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work in both team settings and independently Good communication and interpersonal skills If you’re interested in the role, reach out to our GTO Recruitment Team to request more information – Alternatively, please apply directly via Seek.
