Job Description Options exist for you to work in either a permanent full-time or part-time capacity within our Post Natal ward at Epworth Freemasons. The Maternity Services department consists of 9 birth suites, 10 bed special care nursery, 34 bed postnatal unit and a 6 bed hospital in the Park Hyatt Hotel and currently accommodates approximately 3,000 births per annum. You will make an impact by: Delivering an exceptional patient experience to women, their partners/families and their babies to have positive pregnancy, birth and postnatal experience Providing a high standard of nursing/midwifery care Encouraging and role-modelling empathy to patients and families What you'll be doing Providing holistic midwifery care to postnatal mothers and newborns, including advice and support on feeding, baby care, and maternal recovery Monitoring the health and wellbeing of both mother and baby, and identifying and addressing any potential issues or concerns Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless and comprehensive care experience Participating in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest midwifery practices and guidelines To be successful in this role… You will have: Current unrestricted midwifery registration with AHPRA Previous experience working in a Birth Suite or Post Natal ward Contemporary knowledge of best practice in maternity and newborn nursing care and the patient journey We will review applications as we receive them.
