Edinburgh Fringe Venue Technical Manager Bedlam Theatre Deadline: 19 March 2025 at 17:00 We are pleased to invite applications for the role of Technical Manager for Bedlam Fringe 2025 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The Technical Manager will oversee the setup and maintenance of all technical systems, ensuring smooth operation throughout the festival. Each production at Bedlam Fringe has unique technical requirements, and we encourage creativity while ensuring all technical elements are feasible within our space. Responsibilities include: Running the setup of technical equipment throughout the venue, including Front of House speakers and a communal lighting rig for all shows. Scheduling and supervising all shows’ tech runs during the festival. Hiring and training three venue technicians to assist in duties and work regular technical shifts throughout the festival. Ensuring the venue complies with health and safety legislation on the technical side. Salary: £14 per hour, plus a generous benefits package: Flexible hours in a fun, diverse, and exciting work environment. A Bedlam venue pass offering free standby access to shows at Bedlam Fringe and our partner venues. Free First-Aid training and certification. Staff party after the festival. Contract: FreelanceWorking Hours: 6 hours/week April - Late July40 hours/week Late July - AugustWorking hours will not exceed the working time directives rules.
