The Opportunity Our Port Kembla Springhill Manufacturing facility is looking for an Electrical Asset Improvement Coordinator in our Coke Plant 2 Department based in Port Kembla. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions, and services to our export and domestic customers. In this front line-critical role, your primary responsibility will be the coordination and execution of both routine and long-term maintenance to increase the reliability uptime of the plant. You will achieve this by managing the long-term maintenance strategy to deliver a cost-effective, quality-focused, and flexible maintenance function to a variety of electrical hardware equipment for our material handling plant. What Will You Do? As the Asset Improvement Coordinator , your primary role will be the coordination of maintenance, while also being directly involved with complex troubleshooting of electrical equipment. You will: Oversee the day-to-day management of plant maintenance activities, including planning, organizing, execution, and review of maintenance for materials handling electrical equipment. Coordinate and provide technical support to the maintenance resources within the section. Develop and review existing maintenance strategies to improve reliability, ensuring work quality and standards are captured. Coach, mentor, and develop maintenance personnel in manufacturing excellence principles and processes, particularly around root cause and problem analysis and the development and execution of corrective actions. Participate in cost reduction and capital upgrade projects. Respond to the day-to-day electrical availability and reliability issues. More About You As an experienced Asset Improvement Coordinator, you will have sound leadership experience, work effectively in cross-functional groups, and thrive in a team environment. You will also have: Electrical trade qualifications or an advanced diploma in electrical engineering. An NSW electrical licence. Experience with fault finding. Experience with material handling electrical hardware and equipment, including field devices. Demonstrated experience with AC/DC motors. Demonstrated leadership experience. Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
