We are seeking an experienced Electrical / Electronics Technician to join our Rail team at Rydalmere and take the opportunity to work and learn ‘on the job’, while enjoying long term job security in a safety prioritised environment. To be Successful in the Role: You will have tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline and have worked a minimum of 5 years in the electrical trade industry, with preference given to candidates having HV and Rail industry experience. Main Responsibilities will Include: Inspect, test, troubleshoot and repair a variety of railway electrical equipment including 500 volt static inverters, Variable voltage variable frequency (VVVF) speed controllers, 100 to 250KV Gas filled circuit breakers and sensitive control equipment containing PCB’s, in accordance with test procedures, standards, specifications and in conjunction with Mitsubishi’s certified quality system. Read and interpret electrical and electronic technical drawings. Perform precision electrical/electronic and engineering measurement. Dismantle, replace and assemble engineered components. In addition, you must be willing to obtain and hold in the future an ADF Clearance Defence Security Clearance up to the level of ‘Negative Vetting Level 1’. Attention to detail is paramount in this role ensuring quality of product is delivered to our customers.
