Are you passionate about driving innovation in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) within the renewable energy industry? We are a leading turnkey solution provider specializing in the deployment of utility-scale BESS projects across Australia. As we expand our operations, we are seeking a talented Electrical Site Manager to join our team. Primary Objective The Electrical Site Manager for the Blue Grass Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing all on-site activities, managing site employees and subcontractors, and ensuring the successful execution of construction projects. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager based in Melbourne, this site-based position will manage all end-to-end onsite activities and represent ACLE on the front line to the client. The role plays a critical part in coordinating resources, maintaining safety standards, and achieving project milestones. This position will be supported onsite by a team of Electrical Supervisors, OHS Manager, QA Manager, Logistics, and Administration support staff. ACLE has mobilized to site, and bulk civil works have been completed. The project is moving into Electrical construction in March with site commissioning to be completed by the end of 2025. Beyond 2025, there is a strong possibility of ongoing works for the right candidate. Duties and Responsibilities Champion a culture of safety, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, regulations, and best practices. Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and safety training for on-site personnel. Implement corrective actions to address safety concerns and prevent incidents. Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to monitor and document construction quality throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct regular quality inspections and implement corrective measures to maintain the highest quality standards. Collaborate with ACLE head office Senior Management to establish project priorities, strategies, and performance metrics. Participate in project meetings and present frequent updates on project status, challenges, and plans. Identify project challenges and obstacles proactively, employing analytical thinking to develop innovative solutions. Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, encompassing scope, schedules, budgets, and resources. Provide strategic direction to all on-site teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives. Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of on-site employees, subcontractors, and vendors. Manage the allocation of human resources, equipment, and materials to optimize project efficiency. Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback to enhance team productivity and individual growth. Foster a collaborative work environment that promotes open communication and effective teamwork. Ensure that all construction activities comply with engineering specifications, industry standards, and project requirements. Maintain accurate and organized records of project activities, including correspondence, documentation, and reports. Document project changes, approvals, and deviations to ensure comprehensive project documentation. Maintain open and transparent communication with clients, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities. Address stakeholder inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly, fostering positive relationships and trust. Document lessons learned and share best practices to enhance future project execution. Qualification & Experience Electrical engineering or experienced trade experience with demonstrated experience in managing High & Low Voltage construction projects. Proven ability to execute projects within budget, timeline, and quality parameters. Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations, protocols, and best practices in the construction industry. Track record of prioritizing safety and implementing safety initiatives. In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, project management principles, and industry best practices. Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire diverse teams toward project success. Exceptional interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration and conflict resolution. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying complex information clearly and concisely. Proficiency in stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship building. Strong project planning skills, including scope definition, resource allocation, and schedule management. Analytical thinking to assess situations, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions. Relevant certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Construction Management Certification are advantageous. Full car driver's license is required. What's on Offer Candidates based locally to Chinchilla would be preferable. 55-hour work week with vehicle supplied. Drive in and out would be considered on a fixed roster. Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and motivate teams toward achieving project objectives. Capacity to think strategically and align project activities with broader organizational goals. Commitment to promoting and maintaining a culture of safety on the construction site, particularly for battery storage systems. Exceptional communication skills for conveying complex information to diverse stakeholders. Creative problem-solving skills to overcome challenges and adapt to changing project conditions. Willingness to adapt to evolving project requirements, external factors, and unexpected changes. Confident decision-making, balancing project priorities, constraints, and risks. Strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
