BE Switchcraft Pty Ltd is a custom switchboard manufacturer with over 50 years history within the electrical and sheet metal industries in SA. The company seeks an experienced Switchboard Designer for an immediate start to support the management team at its Royal Park facility. The role will involve overseeing all aspects of switchboard design. We are looking for a motivated team player with experience in switchboard design and Australian standards. Duties will include: Interpreting and analysing consultant drawings, including SLD and specifications. Ensuring that all drawings from the design team are compliant to AS/NZS 61439 and the national wiring and service rules. Scheduling all work within the team and ensuring deadlines are met both internally with production and externally with clients. Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers in order to provide updated CAD blocks and utilise products fit for purpose within the switchboard design. Actively involved in type testing and switchboard compliance. Maintain and manage CAD libraries and work with the Quality Manager to implement changes through estimating and production. Working with the management team to meet budgets and project deadlines. Relevant skills would include: The ability to interpret the current switchboards standard AS/NZS 61439, AS 3000 and local service rules. The ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and SLD. Great attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Organised and able to work autonomously. Extensive AutoCAD knowledge is essential and maintenance of CAD blocks and libraries. Previous experience with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.). A permanent full-time role is available to the right candidate following a successful trial period, along with a competitive remuneration package based on experience.
