The Role Glencore Technology is currently advertising a full-time vacancy that exists in the Plate Manufacture (Electrical / Automation and Control) Department for the role of Electrical Technician, reporting to the Senior Manufacturing Engineer. Responsibilities: Promote and deliver a culture of excellence in health, safety, environment, operations, quality, and continuous improvement. Provide technical support for equipment in Plate Manufacture, assisting with equipment setup, fine-tuning, planned maintenance, troubleshooting, interfacing with external support, and sourcing spare parts. The Plate Manufacturing equipment includes: Laser Cutter and Laser Etcher CNC Milling Machine - Winner Machine Fabrication Shop Robot Welder – Esab welder & Kuka robot Plating Shop Rectifiers Guillotine, Roller Leveller, POS scanners, and Packing Shed Equipment Prepare Laser Cutter programs, CNC Milling Machine Programming, and assist with equipment setup for manufacturing. Support electrical equipment repairs and preventative maintenance. Support projects including scoping, purchasing, contractor supervision, and installation of new electrical equipment. Use purchasing systems to purchase items and develop spare parts lists. Qualifications and Skills: High level of attention to detail and flexible approach to business needs with great time management skills. Experience in a similar technical role within a large manufacturing or processing site is preferred. Electrical and/or Automation and Control qualifications. Hold a current Electrical License. Intermediate knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office suite. Hold a current manual Australian driver’s license. Project management experience is well regarded.
