About the Opportunity EC Power now has an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Electrical Tradesman/Leading Hand to join the Warehousing/Commercial Construction team. We are looking for someone with leadership, communication, and people skills, along with the ability to motivate others. You will have strong experience in warehouse/commercial fit-outs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to join a highly motivated organization and become a key driver in the continued growth of EC Power in delivering quality medium to large commercial/industrial projects to our clients. This position will involve work primarily on projects in Sydney and surrounding areas, based on-site, generally working on one project at a time. Our company offers ongoing career development, training, and a broad range of experience through varied projects and disciplines. Located in Silverwater, NSW, the position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis. You will work from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday, with compensated overtime and Saturday work available at times. Duties and Responsibilities Lead and supervise the team of electricians and apprentices under the support of a project manager on medium to large projects. Assist the project team in planning and scheduling of projects. Coordinate and supervise a team of electricians and apprentices. Assign tasks and manage daily work schedules. Ensure strict OH&S compliance and meet client expectations without compromising safety. Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations. Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues on-site. Monitor work quality and ensure standards are met. Assist with project planning and execution. Conduct safety inspections and lead safety meetings. Communicate with project managers and clients on progress. Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff. Ensure tools, materials, and equipment are available and organized. Prepare and submit reports on work completed and time tracking. Monitor project budget and material usage. Respond to urgent electrical issues or emergencies as needed. About You: Skills Required Strong experience in warehousing/commercial fit-outs. Excellent work ethic with a positive and proactive attitude. Ability to adapt to new working environments. Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a sound working knowledge of current electrical standards and regulations. A high degree of initiative and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills for client and team interaction. Reliable, committed, and self-motivated, with good communication, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Exceptional communication and customer service skills, maintaining a personable approach in your dealings. Please note: You will need to hold a current Australian driver's licence before commencing employment.
