The Organisation Our client is a well-established and well-known industrial organisation and professional association. The aim of the organisation is to protect and improve employment conditions for its members. The Role Due to growth and the busyness of the legal team, our client is looking to recruit a talented and experienced employment/IR lawyer at around the 3 to 9 years pae level. The role will see you reporting to the Head of Legal and a flavour of the work will include: providing employment advice to members managing employment litigation and disputes enterprise bargaining preparing submissions and reports to the Fair Work Commission, Fair Work Ombudsman and other relevant bodies and commissions advising on and drafting employment contracts advising on awards advising on discrimination, diversity, bullying advising and being involved in unfair dismissals, terminations advising on and being involved in workplace investigations advising on adverse actions/general protections advising on redundancies and restructuring advising on employee performance management and conduct advising on WHS and critical incidents This is a wonderful opportunity to be exposed to high profile employment and IR work but at the same time having a genuine work/life balance.
