Primary Responsibilities at the Office/Workshop (~70%): Leading power performance measurements on various wind farms across APAC regions according to the international standards (IEC 61400-12-1) and internal best practices Preparing detailed technical reports for stakeholders (including wind farm developers or turbine OEMs) on results of measurement projects Interpreting and applying test requirements from turbine supply agreements in project execution Overseeing measurement project at greenfield solar and wind sites, ensuring it’s delivered on time and within scope Engagement and management of subcontractor for meteorological mast installations Wind and solar resource monitoring using DNV’s online data monitoring platform Assisting in documentation, procurement, and preparation of wind resource instrumentation Assembling electrical enclosures for wind data acquisition and turbine power measurement systems Performing factory acceptance tests for measurement equipment before deployment Supporting business development through lead generation and proposal writing Primary Responsibilities on Site (~30%): Managing installation and commissioning of wind measurement equipment (mast or remote sensing devices such as LiDAR, SoDAR) and solar measurements (solar monitoring stations) and associated measurement equipment on behalf of customers. Installation of power measurement systems in turbines with assistance from turbine OEMs. Working closely with customers and their technicians on complex and sometimes remote construction sites Troubleshooting data acquisition systems and sensors Additional Tasks May Include: Supporting business development of the measurement services through collaboration with international offices and engaging in R&D and innovation framework Developing tools and processes to continuously improve quality and value of delivery Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewables or Electronics Engineering (or other relevant discipline) Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral. Preferred Qualifications: Previous renewable energy, consulting, project management, electronics experience or credentials Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Master's degree in relevant discipline Familiarity with multiple meteorological and electrical measurement systems and sensors Familiarity with data acquisition systems or remote sensing Familiarity with analysis packages used in the wind industry such as Python, WAsP, Matlab, Windfarmer, Windapp etc. Electrical license Physical abilities necessary to perform regular functions of the job: Regular interstate travel to wind farms, wind or solar development sites, other offices, and conferences with occasional international travel Valid driving licence required and acceptable driving record meeting company requirements; ability to rent a vehicle Comfortable working outdoors in various conditions, including but not limited to ascending wind turbines via stairs or ladders, driving up to six hours, and walking on uneven terrain Performing routine activities such as manual handling, walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and reaching.
