Job Description

The Company An employee owned international consultancy with an established energy team providing expert advisory services in both the regulated and non-regulated sectors. The Role The Engineer (Senior to Lead) will work on a variety of power systems projects not only to produce data and models, but to interpret this information and provide a technical advisory service to a variety of customers. They will work on: Design Grid integration Planning and operational impact assessments Generator connections Commissioning Model validation projects The Person Applicants will have a combination of the following: Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Proficiency in using electricity network analysis tools (such as PSS/E, PowerFactory or PSCAD) and interpreting results. Understanding and knowledge of the physical operation of the electricity transmission systems and the overarching markets. Understanding of cost benefit assessment of projects including probability-based analysis of investment decisions. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to make recommendations to stakeholders. Ability to prepare high quality reports suitable for external stakeholders.
