About the role As our new Engineering Leader at Tallawarra Power Station, you’ll drive asset performance, lead risk management, and ensure regulatory compliance. Overseeing a team of engineers, you’ll collaborate across functions to solve complex plant issues and drive continuous improvement for safe and reliable operations. Lead and develop the engineering team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Oversee asset management strategies, ensuring reliability, compliance, and optimal plant performance. Manage technical changes and process safety, ensuring modifications meet regulatory and operational standards. Analyze plant performance, implement efficiency improvements, and drive engineering project execution. Ensure quality, compliance, and financial oversight, optimizing budgets and procurement processes. Conduct failure investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operations. About you Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in electrical, mechanical, or related field. Advanced degree or certified professional engineering (CPEng) is desirable. 5+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles within the power generation industry, or 10 years of experience in other relevant industries, with a demonstrated track record of success in managing engineering teams and executing complex projects. Strong technical expertise in power generation systems, equipment design, maintenance practices, and regulatory requirements. Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans, drive innovation, and achieve results in a dynamic and challenging environment. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and collaborate cross-functionally. Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality management systems applicable to power generation facilities.
