Job Description

Lacking drive in your current role - same olde, same olde? Looking for a step out of design yourself and into design management or engineering management? Structure This is a group management role. There's two team leads with smaller teams - you'd look after the group, who work in land development. You'd report to the Operations Manager and your peers would be the Sustainable Development Lead, the Project Managers and Construction Manager. Privately owned, it's a well structured organisation, poised for a new chapter of exciting development which will take them to the next level, offering something slightly different to the rest of the industry. Process Not too much. This isn't a tier one consultancy. We keep it real here. You'll need to lead and inspire. Bring what you know, we can develop that on the job. The role day to day You'll have come from a design background yourself and may well be on the tools from time to time, to assist with heavier workload periods. Mostly though, you'll look after design review and QA as well as mentoring. You'll make sure the team feel empowered to be creative in their solutions, consider environmental factors when designing and design to a high quality. You'll look after their training and development yourself, or, book courses for them as needed. You'll liaise with PMs on projects where needed and delegate this to senior engineers where possible. You'll attend client meetings and help build a strong pipeline of work. What's in it for you? This isn't your average job. It combines technical leadership with management and needs to be looked after with care and compassion. In return, you'll be in a super cool job where the wheels turn smoothly. You'll join this group in a new phase of development (staff are currently excited by this) and be able to take your own career to the next level, whilst being home by 6pm. There's free car parking on site, opportunity to join the leadership table and potentially buy equity (in time). Reasonable flexibility is afforded. To succeed, you'll need: Civil Engineering degree with DAS design accreditations and hands-on design experience spanning 10 or 20 years. Commercial acumen A broader understanding of land development - current issues, roadblocks and opportunities Some mentoring experience CPEng and additional business qualifications would be well received. Take home pay would be between $150k and $175k package. To apply, or, for more info: Call Miriam Taylor on 0447 042 897 or email No C.V. required immediately, feel free to reach out first. Always in confidence. #J-18808-Ljbffr
