Established over 30 years ago, Barkly Engineering is located in Mount Isa and has been providing services to all industries in the North-West Minerals Province and beyond. Our capabilities include but are not limited to fabrication, machining, line boring, reverse engineering, and projects. We have extensive in-house capabilities to repair and maintain equipment in our facilities or on client sites. Barkly Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and experienced engineer who wishes to take on new challenges and grow their career. The Engineering Manager will be directly responsible for the growth and expansion of the business while managing estimating, engineering and client relations across Northern Australia (Queensland and the Northern Territory). This will involve expanding service offerings including structural design and certification and taking on major project works. It is a key requirement that you hold CPEng & RPEQ certification and are able to frequently travel to Mount Isa facility and remote client sites across Queensland and the Northern Territory. Key Responsibilities Include: Liaising with clients to forge strong relationships Perform structural inspections, audits and compile reports Provide input and review of project cost estimations Review of technical designs, reports, documentation and specifications Undertake design and provide certification of structures Provide mentorship to other engineers Your Attributes: Well presented, motivated and self-driven professional Willing to travel to client locations Current CPEng & RPEQ qualifications Experience in engineering and design within the mining industry Cost estimation experience Prior sales experience would be advantageous What We Offer: Flexible working arrangements on a case by case basis, once you've established yourself Travel costs covered including supply of vehicle, accommodation and flights Competitive salary plus profit sharing A chance to grow your career, be a part of a growth journey, and make a difference to a small privately owned business. #J-18808-Ljbffr
