Add expected salary to your profile for insights Grange Resources is seeking an experienced, proactive, and safety-focused Port Latta Engineering Project Superintendent to oversee and manage engineering activities at our Tasmanian Operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the protection and maintenance of assets, cost control, regulatory compliance, and fostering a safe work environment. You will manage engineering improvements, modifications, and ensure operations meet Australian standards and Grange's safety and environmental policies. Key Responsibilities Safety and Compliance : Ensure strict adherence to Safety, Health, and Environmental policies, managing incident reporting, inspections, and compliance with WorkSafe Tasmania regulations. Asset Management : Protect and maintain engineering assets in optimal condition, utilizing best practices to enhance asset life and operational efficiency. Engineering Leadership : Lead the implementation of engineering improvements, maintenance activities, and capital expenditure, focusing on continuous improvement. Project Management : Oversee project budgets, timelines, contractor management, and ensure compliance with Australian Standards, including regulatory safety requirements. Team and Personnel Development : Foster a safe, motivating work environment, promote training, and encourage employee participation in all safety and operational improvements. Documentation and Reporting : Maintain engineering documentation, including records, drawings, and procedures, ensuring proper control and compliance with company and regulatory standards. Stakeholder Engagement : Liaise with various internal teams, contractors, suppliers, government bodies, and community members to ensure smooth operations and compliance. Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Qualifications : Trade qualifications in a relevant discipline or Engineering, with a willingness to further education. Experience : Minimum 10 years in a mining, mineral processing, or industrial environment. Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of engineering systems and Australian regulatory standards. Familiarity with project control software, AutoCAD, and asset management tools is a plus. Safety Focus : Strong commitment to safety and environmental practices, with a track record of continuous improvement. Leadership : Excellent communication and team management skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels. Additional Skills : Proficiency in computer applications and inventory control systems (SAP, MIMS, etc.). A current driver’s license is required. Personal Qualities Motivated, flexible, and capable of working independently while aligning with the company’s objectives. Strong commitment to professional growth and a collaborative team player. High ethical standards, with a focus on fostering trust and respect within the workplace. Working Conditions/Environment The role involves both office-based tasks and on-site responsibilities across various plant facilities. Requires adherence to site safety and operational policies at all times. Will be expected to manage compliance with environmental and safety standards in daily operations.
