Task & Responsibilities Job Duties Of Engineering Technologist - Electrical Field Analyze and evaluate existing electrical systems in commercial buildings to identify inefficiencies, safety concerns, and improvement opportunities. Develop and implement maintenance schedules for commercial electrical systems to ensure reliability and compliance with industry standards. Prepare detailed technical documentation and drawings for commercial projects, ensuring alignment with client specifications and regulatory standards. Conduct feasibility studies and provide recommendations for enhancing the efficiency and safety of electrical systems in industrial settings. Develop and implement safety protocols for industrial electrical operations, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Collaborate with production managers to optimize electrical layouts for new machinery installations and upgrades. Design and implement custom electrical solutions for residential projects, including smart home integrations and renewable energy systems. Provide troubleshooting and repair services for technical issues in residential settings, ensuring efficient resolution with minimal disruption. Prepare detailed electrical layouts and load calculations for residential projects, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Analyze existing electrical infrastructure in mining operations to recommend upgrades or replacements for improved efficiency and safety. Conduct rigorous testing and troubleshooting of systems in mining sites, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure electrical designs meet project specifications and timelines. Stay updated with the latest electrical codes, safety standards, and emerging technologies to ensure best practices. Train and mentor junior staff. Qualification & Experience Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum of 2+ years of full-time experience (for applicants within Australia) or 5+ years (for overseas applicants).
