Engineering Technologist At Balpara for forty years, we have serviced the power, resources, renewable energy, communications, infrastructure, and land development industries. Our Melbourne office based in Oakleigh is seeking an experienced individual who is looking to further their career as an Engineering Technologist. You will need to analyse and modify new and existing engineering technologies and apply them in the testing and implementation of engineering projects whilst meeting our high standards of quality and service. Key Responsibilities: Ensure technical compliance through QA. Demonstrate excellent communication both written and verbal. Ability to work autonomously or within a team. Evaluate design drawings for new or changed tools by measuring dimensions on the drawings and comparing them with the original specifications. Use AutoCAD to create technical drawings. Conduct regular site visits on a range of overhead and underground distribution projects. Keep track of records. Research and test new technologies to help improve the business. To be successful in this role you will: Experience in the use of AutoCAD. Strong attention to detail. Able to understand engineering drawings. A current driver’s licence.
