We Are Looking For Engineers With The Following Experience Civil Works Rail and Permanent Way (Linewide) MEP Disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing) Structural Discipline (Concrete & Steel) These are site-based roles in Western Sydney. About Us The Parklife Metro consortium, working in partnership with the NSW Government, is delivering a transformative metro rail infrastructure project in Greater Western Sydney. Our consortium, which includes Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild , is leveraging metro rail expertise to deliver this city-shaping project under a Public-Private Partnership model. This will provide significant economic stimulus for Western Sydney. The Role The Approved Engineers will be part of the Project Technical Office, reporting to the Approved Engineers Manager. The Technical Office is responsible for managing the Technical and Engineering requirements of the Project, ensuring that Temporary Works Designs (from the initial brief to the final AFC status) and Permanent Works are correctly implemented, monitoring requirements are met, approving permanent materials, releasing critical Hold Points requiring engineering supervision, and supporting the site team in all technical and engineering topics, including resolving NCRs. Responsibilities: Regularly undertake inspections to ensure that the HPs released by the PE/SPEs have been installed in accordance with the latest AFC Design Documentation. Ensure that the construction works are proceeding in accordance with the latest ITPs and Design Specifications, including releasing and witnessing HP & Witness Points (WP). Meet regularly with the delivery team to resolve technical issues with the support of the broader Technical Office/Engineering Dept. Participate in the interaction between design and construction resources during design changes, including effective coordination meetings. Ensure that the latest approved construction documentation is available for use. Interface with the Systems D&C JV partner to ensure that the final product is fit for purpose. Maintain the Safety in Design and safety assurance process to effectively manage safety risk from design change through to construction. Review and approve Permanent Material in relation to the assigned discipline. Review and approve technical solutions for NCR resolution, understanding when these may have structural/durability/functional implications and recommending obtaining designers’ approval/considerations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Experience in the construction/engineering environment. Extensive design experience with exposure to and delivery of civil projects. Experience in developing, analyzing, and reporting on performance, compliance, and non-conformance. Experience in interpretation and application of contracts. Significant site experience, preferably with the application of the design change process. Preferably with experience in broader engineering disciplines including but not limited to Structures, MEP, Rail & Civil.
