Enterprise Network & Security Architect (EL1, NV1/NV2) Job Title: Enterprise Technology Architect Security & Infrastructure (EL1, NV1 Clearance)Location: Canberra, Australia Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Technology Architect (EL1 Equivalent) to lead the design, implementation, and modernization of secure IT infrastructure and network solutions . This role requires expertise in network security, cloud architecture, automation, and compliance . The successful candidate will be responsible for developing scalable and secure solutions, ensuring compliance with government security frameworks, and providing strategic technical leadership . Key Responsibilities Enterprise Architecture & Solution Design Develop and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance IT architectures across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. Define and document high-level design, reference architectures, and technical standards. Align solutions with security frameworks, compliance requirements, and ASD Essential 8. Network & Infrastructure Security Architect and secure enterprise network solutions (LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN). Configure and manage firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet) and Zero Trust security models. Implement Identity & Access Management (IAM, RBAC, Cisco ISE, Active Directory, SAML, OAuth2.0). Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure Design and integrate cloud-based and hybrid infrastructure in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Implement containerization and microservices (Docker, Kubernetes). Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation. Automation & CI/CD Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps). Develop automated deployment and monitoring solutions. Scripting in Python, PowerShell, and Bash for automation and orchestration. Security & Compliance Ensure compliance with ASD Essential 8, NIST, ISO 27001, and government security policies. Implement Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions (Splunk, Sentinel, ELK). Develop and maintain incident response and disaster recovery plans. Enterprise Networking & Authentication Design and manage secure network authentication and API integrations. Monitor and troubleshoot network performance using Wireshark, SolarWinds. Define secure configurations for routers, switches, and wireless technologies. Required Technical Skills (SFIA Levels): Information Security (Level 3): Risk assessment, security controls, and incident investigation. Network Design (Level 5): Secure network topologies, access control, and risk management. Solution Architecture (Level 4): Scalable cloud and on-premises infrastructure solutions. Specialist Advice (Level 5): Expert guidance on IT security, cloud, and automation strategies. Enterprise & Business Architecture (Level 5): Aligning IT infrastructure with business goals. Information Assurance (Level 5): Ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and governance. Desirable Skills & Experience: Software-Defined Networking (SDN) & Network Automation. Multi-cloud networking & security best practices. Experience working in government or defense environments. Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy).
