Environment & Release Manager - ICT Our client is embarking on a multi-year Transformation Program and is seeking experienced ICT Environment & Release Managers to oversee the stability of ICT environments and ensure seamless software releases across development, testing, staging, and production. This role will play a crucial part in managing application environments, coordinating deployments, and enforcing best practices for release management within a complex and highly regulated environment. The position will be split between Release Management and Environment Management . Key Responsibilities Environment Management: Oversee and maintain the integrity of ICT environments across the transformation program. Collaborate with infrastructure, development, and testing teams to manage environment dependencies, configurations, and integrations. Define and enforce environment provisioning, access control, and data management strategies. Ensure version consistency across all environments to support stable development and testing activities. Release Management: Develop and manage structured release plans for software updates, patches, and deployments. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to schedule, test, and deploy releases with minimal risk to operations. Implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and improve efficiency. Define rollback and contingency plans to mitigate risks associated with software releases. Monitor post-release performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure proper incident resolution. Governance & Compliance: Establish and enforce best practices for release and environment management in alignment with industry standards. Maintain documentation, reporting, and tracking of all environment and release activities. Skills & Experience: 5+ years of experience in Release and Environment management within complex ICT projects. Strong understanding of system environments, infrastructure dependencies, and software deployment processes. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools , automation, and version control best practices. Ability to oversee multiple releases while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills to drive collaboration across teams.
