Environmental Engineer and Production Support The Environmental Engineer and Production Support will assist the Technical and Production Manager in managing fabrication resources to achieve optimal efficiency, maintain quality standards, and deliver engineered product solutions that protect waterways and minimise environmental impact. This hands-on role is perfect for a candidate who has recently graduated and gained 1-2 years of experience or completed a relevant TAFE qualification, looking to develop their career in environmental and production engineering. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Preparing product drawings in CAD, maintaining a comprehensive drawing library, and managing technical documentation Supporting research and development initiatives to improve production methods and workflows Providing technical support to the sales team and designing solutions to meet client requirements Conducting site visits with the sales team to understand client needs and recommend optimal solutions Planning production activities, including labour and material resource allocation, ensuring delivery timelines are met Ensuring safe and reliable operation of machinery and championing OH&S compliance and QA procedures Managing procurement tasks, including negotiating with suppliers and ensuring materials meet specifications About You Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be an integral part of the Engineering team. This is a hands-on role requiring technical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering environmentally conscious solutions. To be successful in this role, you will have: A tertiary qualification in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a relevant TAFE qualification with experience). 1-2 years’ experience in production, fabrication, or engineering (graduates with relevant practical experience will also be considered) Proficiency in CAD, ERP systems, and Excel (intermediate level preferred) An energetic and hands-on approach, with a willingness to work both in the office and on-site, contributing proactively to projects and team collaboration Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organisational and time management abilities A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail An interest in sustainable practices and product life cycle analysis About Our Client Our client, Chatoyer is an Australian company delivering environmental compliance solutions to industry since 1996.
